Proactive Video Monitoring

Event-Triggered Live Response

AI Detection. Live Operator Intervention.

intruder caught by camera

Don’t Just Record Crime. Stop It.

Traditional cameras only record events and notify the homeowner. Unless you can respond immediately, the damage could still occur. While basic cameras may help with catching the criminal, you often still have to deal with the stressful aftermath of a break in – cleanup and repairs, police reports, insurance claims and more.

Take your protection a step further and prevent crime from happening in the first place.

When a person is detected where they shouldn’t be, a live agent intervenes, tells the intruder to leave, and dispatches the police if necessary.

Overnight Protection

Residential service is typically configured for video monitoring overnight on one camera or more. The popular Elite package with prevention includes live agent intervention between 11:00 pm and 8:00 am, but we can customize the schedule to fit your needs.

Vivid color night vision makes it easy for monitoring agents to see what’s going on, preventing false alarms and reacting fast in an emergency.

Frequently Asked Questions about Video Monitoring

Will someone be watching my cameras all the time?

No. Agents are only able to view your cameras when a defined trigger event occurs, like a human in the backyard at midnight. You also control which cameras they can see and when.

How do I tell DFW which areas to monitor?

We use virtual tripwires and ground zones to “draw” the area you want monitored. Don’t worry - our expert technicians will help you get everything set up just right.

Does video monitoring require special cameras?

Remote video monitoring is available on most of DFW Security’s newer cameras, including floodlight cameras, however they must be hardwired, and fast internet service is required.
