DFW Security offers top-quality, affordable alarm monitoring in the Dallas Fort Worth area. At DFW Security, we believe security should be affordable for everyone. Whether you choose to add alarm monitoring to an existing system, or install a new system, you will not be disappointed.
DFW Security’s alarm monitoring center is U.L. Listed by the Underwriters Laboratory, and 5-Diamond Rated by the Central Station Alarm Association, or C.S.A.A., the highest rating an alarm company can achieve.
Top-of-the-line alarm monitoring doesn’t have to cost a fortune. 24/7/365 professional alarm monitoring costs only $12.95 per month with DFW Security, if you have a standard home phone line. Wireless monitoring is just $16.95 per month with purchase of an Uplink cellular communicator. Other Metroplex home security companies charge over $30 per month for landline monitoring, and over $40 per month for wireless monitoring, for the very same (or even inferior) service.
Basic monitoring is available for existing compatible working systems or new alarm systems. See if your existing system is compatible.
For just a little more per month, you can upgrade to a smart security system. Our mobile application allows you to operate your alarm, thermostat, lights, door locks, cameras, garage doors and more with your Apple, Android, Blackberry or Windows device. You can also enjoy features like, Energy Management, Video Monitoring, Wellness and GEO Services. Compare Basic vs. Smart Security.
How Does Alarm Monitoring Work?
With DFW Security, our certified operators are trained to handle your alarm quickly and professionally. When an alarm is triggered at your home, the security system sends us a signal. Our operator then attempts to contact you, either over the loudspeaker on your smart security system, or on the phone number you provided if you have a basic alarm system, to make sure the alarm is not false. If no one answers, or they cannot give the correct password, our operator then dispatches the police. (A smart security system ensures a faster police response, since the alarm can be verified by listening in at the location.) In case of a fire or medical emergency, our monitoring center will dispatch the fire department or ambulance, and your emergency contact list will be notified of the situation.
Landline vs. Wireless
There are 2 types of alarm monitoring: landline and wireless. Security systems can either use a standard home phone line (landline) to send signals to the monitoring station, or communicate via cellular or internet transmission (wireless). Internet monitoring is not recommended due to variations in service and frequent outages. Landline monitoring works great with POTS (plain old telephone service) lines and has the lowest price, but can easily be cut outside the house by a burglar, and isn’t compatible with many alternative phone services like cable or internet companies provide.
The most reliable option is cellular monitoring, since there is no phone line to be cut, no spotty internet service to rely on, and a dedicated service that requires very little signal strength. Learn more about wireless alarm monitoring.
